I love Paris (pear-ree)!!!!!!!!!! The city is full of life, love, adventure, and many surprises. Yesterday Kailey and I went to Musee de L'Orangerie and saw lovely pieces of art from Claude Monet... and others... but we mainly like Monet :) Then we went to finally spot the Arc de Triomphe, it is WAY cooler in person, and we went at sunset... even more special (not to rub it in all your guys faces... well, I guess sorta) lol. Then we went walking down the Champs Elysee... no biggie. We have been on a search for exceptionally exciting souvenirs to bring back home, you know... something better than the "coin purses" Natalie likes to bring back. This is important, because there was a boy working there who was impressed by my English... apparently I speak it very well. Then we continued our night in the 6th Arrondissement (aka district) with a group of our classmates. Many of the cafes/bars were POPPIN! By the time we got back to the room I went to charge my camera and realized it was no where to be found :( I was so bummed, I looked all around the room, Kailey checked the lobby & lost 'n found. I decided in the morning I would call the souvenir shop and the Metro's lost 'n found. I called the shop and tried my French & the guy on the phone said he didn't have it, but Kailey and I decided to go in person. When we walked in the boy from yesterday remembered us, and I asked if I left my camera and he said he had it, but he wanted a kiss on his cheek... I didn't get too excited because I thought he was just messing with us. Next thing I knew he had a camera in his hands, and it was mine!!! It made my day! I couldn't believe it! I think I will have to bring him back a French Pastry--- I always try to stay positive, but when you have been running all around Paris hopping from Metro to Metro, not to mention all the pick-pocketers, I thought it was lost FOREVER... and that, my friends, is one of the MANY reason why I love Paris.

| Avocado Appetizer |
A group of us went out to dinner to La Cantina, and enjoyed a prefixed menu for 14 euros with an
entree,
plat and
dessert. Most of you know how much I LOVE my avocado. I was so excited to have the choice of avocado instead of intestine or liver... But my avocado SUUUUUCKED, it was brown and rock hard. I didn't eat it and I guess the Chez (Chef) saw it on my plate and he felt so bad he gave me my dessert for FREE! We had such great service that night. The waitress spoke English and tried to find food on the menu that would be more compatible with our American taste buds, not to mention the free round of shots at the end of the nigh--- Salut!

Which was followed by another free round of drinks at
Le Creperie de Josselin. The crepes from Le Creperie in Belmont Shore aint got nuthin on Josselin. Their savory crepes are made with a different kind of mix, its a buckwheat mix. They call them
Galettes. I plan to go to Le Creperie when I get back and ask if they use the galette mix, and when they say "what's that?" I'll tell them about how I enjoyed the most amazing crepes in Paris (silent "s"), back when I lived there... And I hope it is that one rude short man with dark hair working... you know who I am talking about... Oops, back to my story... so Kailey and I split the veggie crepe and one with jambon (ham), fromage (cheese), tomateos, mushroom... I think that's it. For dessert we had some that were soooo tasty, but I don't feel like telling you all the ingredients. We enjoyed this lovely meal with even more lovely company of "The Couple" Kelly & Robby. The creperie is family run and the son stopped by to ask how our meal was, and we gave him props... I threw out the French expression "pal mal," always a crowd pleaser... and a few minutes later he was back for some small talk. He asked where we were from and when he realized we were Americans he whipped out his iphone and displayed his American Flag phone cover!!! It was extra special to see those stars and stripes half way around the globe. Before we left to Paris many of us were warned about how the French don't like Americans, but it is so not true! The French do not like loud and obnoxious rude people, no matter where you come from... but Americans, they love!!! He sent us all over a hefty shot of alcohol, a "present" for us all :)

| "The Gang" |
A group of us adventured to Versailles...
 |
| The morning started with an hour worth of "technical difficulties" trying to print our tickets... |
 |
| But soon we were very studious... |
 |
| And then, distracted by Mango Sorbet. |
To the left is Calvin, our favorite guide, having a stare off... he won.
And by the end of the day we were all defeated. Versailles is quite the Chateau, but we still think Vaux le Vicomte is the real gem.
Calvin took us to this really yummy noodle place
Happy Noodiles it was really delish! They make their noodles fresh, you can see they guy making them in the window (it kinda looks like the people making pretzels at Auntie Anne's Pretzels in the mall). Okay, I need to stop soon, I am getting less and less interesting...

| Apparently the French don't get "hangovers" |
 |
| CHOCOLAT!!!!!!!!! |
 |
| One of the best pieces of art the Louvre had to offer :) |
 |
| You can't really see it, but there is a sculpture of a Trojan behind us... GO BRUINS!!! |
 |
| Our Classroom. |
 |
| I can't remember if I told you guys about how we burnt our first attempt at making falafel... |
 |
| I can't figure out how to rotate the picture, so just rotate your head. |
 |
| Keep it rotated... another picnic. The French picnic EVERYWHERE!!! |
 |
| Last one: We love our falafel (remember, the In-n-Out of Paris?) The line was long, but so worth it! |
Alright, if you are still reading this, we are better friends than I thought we were! Miss you, most likely... But do know, I am having an adventure of a lifetime! Quick shout out to all of the amazing people we are traveling with!!!!!! But those at home, don't get too jealous, I love you too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xoxo, KMG
